OVERVIEW

Nursing has undergone dramatic change in response to social needs and influences. Nursing today is different from nursing as it was practiced years ago, and it is expanded to continue changing during the 21st century. Graduate professional nurses need to be well-versed with current trends, advanced technology in the healthcare system, changing lifestyle concepts, and the expanding role and responsibilities of the nurse midwife in providing healthcare as a nursing officer or faculty or researcher at the basic level or care provider. Madan Bhandari Academy of Health Sciences (MBAHS) is the first provincial university of Nepal located at central part of nation. MBAHS was established under the provincial act, 2018 under the guidance of the Late Madan Bhandari vision of Social equity in health. School of Nursing is started in 2023 in MBAHS with 20 numbers of students. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) program is eight semesters/four years which is designed to produce competent nurses.
